The FIRST Arc

Lies are apart of our life. We all tell them, willingly and unwillingly. We keep secrets, and plot against each other. We bend the truth so it's better for us and our cause. Even the old Captain Commander was involved in this trend. He lied and lied and lied. Everytime he looked his Captains in the eyes he lied. Every time he whispered sweet words of power and seduction into his lover's ear he lied. But why did he lie? And why did he come out with the truth at the time he did? Because if he was nothing else he was a thinker. He knew exactly the kinds of tension that would occur if he held this lie in long enough and let it out at the right moment. So why do it? Why throw his beloved Soul Society and all his captains into a state of disbelief and strife and discord? Because he wanted to save them.

While he courted la primera, she told him many things. Things of lust, things of love, things of happiness and sadness, and...things of power. The one that troubled the Captain Commander the most though was talk of a key. Not just any key of course. It was the key to Hell. The direct center of Hell, and it was there that the baddest, strongest, and most terrible of the Arrancar lived. They were locked away deep down in Hell waiting to be set free. The Primera knew about this, and spent her life looking for this key. She didn't find it, but she found documents that could hint at it's location. Using a technique lost to time, she made two copies. One for the Captain Commander and one for her. She burned the original so that it may never be found again. Why did she give it to the Captain Commander? Who knows. She took that secret with her to her grave in the sea. Before she died though she spoke of the unique thing about the document. It copied itself as many times as needed, but the copies never made copies. They did, however, update themselves every now and then. It was as if the document was speaking to the reader, trying to guide them to the key. The problem? It spoke it riddles. La Primera had only been able to find one clue, and when she got there the place there was nothing but a piece of paper that fit in with the torn and tattered document. When put together nothing happened, but when she returned to the site after making a copy. There were two!

Obviously the Captain Commander could not allow her to open the inner gate of Hell and let loose such a powerful evil. It was shortly after such a discovery that he told his fellows about his infidelities. After the war broke out he locked the document in a chest. Only someone with captain commander reiatsu of shinigami origin could open it. What the primera did with her part is unknown, but it can be assumed that the current primera knows of this. Now the race is on. Find the key to Hell. Destroy it or use it. Once again, the Shinigami and the Arrancar are at each other's throats. The Captain Commander's lies brought together allies and torn those same people apart. Can they be trusted again? Can the Arrancar be trusted? Who will side with who?




((When someone has figured out the riddle of the document and finds the place, a new riddle will be shown. The first clue is given when the Primera and the Captain Commander have found their document. Captains and other Espada may be aware of such a document or have seen their old leader with it and assumed it was important. But they CANNOT know what it is, or why it's important. They may look for it and question their leader about it, but the leader can choose to tell them or not.))
