The act of a dieing woman, Working till the end.

Kenya slowly made her way to the laboratory of the 12th division. Her knees gave out over a soft and comfortable couch as she summoned a Hell butterfly to go find her Vice captain. Her face began to grow cold and pale as well. She drifted off to sleep shortly after telling the butterfly to relay a short message asking her Vice to meet her here.

Shinjou was in his office, siting inn the dark, warm room alone. He was contemplating his research and how to further his own agenda. His metal desk solemnly sat in front of him. Even as cold as it was it was as inviting as a fire to Shinjou. He had spend many a day and night working with this object. He perhaps felt such friendship towards inanimate objects because he had never felt such towards fellow shinigami. Sense the time of his old Captain before Kenya had taken his spot he had never opened to anyone. Shinjou had thought he blocked all emotions so he would never be weak and never again be caught in such a rouse. He though had forgotten quite a few. Although, he had blocked compassion, love and friendship, Shinjou had never left loyalty, shyness and most of all fear. Fear is what now dominated his person and it was what controlled his emotions most of the time. But there were those small moments in time when his emotions were too much for even him to hold back and a few seeped through into the outside world.

As he sat in front of his desk a small beings approached him. It was a hell butterfly. With a soft touch it landed on his outstretched finger. It spoke to him in words no one else could hear, words meant for his ears alone. It spoke of how his Captain wanted him urgently. Shinjou dare not disobey his superiors, so he hastily rose from his chair. As he made his way to his door he clicked the button on the side of his light turning the room completely dark. He opened the door letting a ray of sunlight shine upon what he was studying. It was another man but this time he was even more bloody and it seemed he was breathing. Then the door quickly shut and was immediately locked from the outside with a key only Shinjou would ever hold. He quickly jogged to wear Kenya said she would be to see exactly what she wanted.

As her Vice captain entered in to the room. She stared off and coughed in to a rag as bleed spewed. she readjusted herself on the couch. she then beckoned him over as she spoke in a voice that was hard to hear.

"I, I have to tell you something. I'm not gonna make it much longer. As such I am putting you in charge of the current project. the Captain Commander has authorized us to make a way to open a Garganta in order to reach Hueco Mundo. I am truly sorry to have torn you away from your research but I do not have much longer in this world."

Shinjou looked to his injured Captain with a certain amount of concern. The concern was not that from one human to the other but concern that he may be blamed for this Captain's death as well. This time the charges but mean death and Shinjou had no intention of dying. He showed no concern for her life but deep down in side he did have concern for his Captain. Shinjou may be good at hiding and suppressing his emotions but he still had emotions. No matter how hard he tried, he could not make his feelings simply disappear. So he stood there hiding his emotions and listening intently to every word. As Kenya's words became more and more concerning to Shinjou his body felt like more and more of a weight. With every word he became more intent on continuing her research. Not only was it a request of his Captain but his Captain had been assigned said task from the Captain Commander himself and there was no way Shinjou would ever disobey either. He held to much respect for his superiors.

"It would be my pleasure Captain. You might possibly want to rest and hopefully recover. I am sure I will be able to continue your research and perfect it without any assistance. Not that I couldn't use your help; I mean your help would be amazing but your in no condition, not to mean I can tell you to rest because that's not my place but it's just like advice kind of," said Shinjou as he placed his ice cold hand on the back of his hand.

"Shinjou, It is alright. You can be to tense at times. If I have anything last to say it is this. Shinjou, Live long. Do not grow old and never, Ever give up. And you shale persevere through all these trails set before you."

her words were hard to hear as well as her fading life. With her dying breath she said one four words after she beckoned Shinjou to her.

"I.....Believe....in......you"

With that said, her life faded to nothingness. With this her body began to break apart in to spirit particles. As they floated upward they disappeared in to oblivion, to become apart of the binding of all of soul society like many captains before her.
